Located in a victorian house just off the square in Lockhart, Texas lies The Troubadour Studio. The vintage building having been full restored and equiped for recording gear, The Troubadour hosts an Amek Big 44 console at the end of the great hall surrounded by velvet couches and oriental carpets. Instruments and drums of all kinds surround the room. The house hosts two comfortable tracking rooms providing a truely unique and inspiring environment for recording and music making.

The Troubadour was born out of the vision to create a space to make music that was large enough to record a full band playing live comfortably while maintaining an inspiring and intimate environment for songwriting and spontaneity.

Steven Collins, the studio's head engineer and producer, has been indpendently producing for close to five years. He is endorsed by RADAR by IZ Corp, and is a internationally distributed artist along with his band DEADMAN.

"I have found that being in a creative and inspiring environment has led to some of the best recordings I've heard - both my own work and in the work of others working in this environment. I wanted to capture the peformances of artists when put into such an environment and see where the creativity leads the music." - Steven Collins

The Troubadour records to RADAR Nyquest and mixes on an Amek Big 44 by Langley. A basic Equipment list can be found below. For a complete list of gear and equipment, please call us!
